Bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol in sterile water) is the standard reconstitution solvent for most research peptides. The benzyl alcohol acts as a bacteriostatic preservative, allowing repeated needle entry into the vial without contamination risk. For pH-sensitive peptides or specific assay requirements, Phosphate-Buffered Saline (PBS) and HEPES-Buffered Saline (HBS) are also available.
